Diving into plastic
Biologist Christian Lott presented “Diving into Plastic” at the fair for functional textiles, the “Performance Days 2018”. This year’s focus was on water and the fair provided broad discussion about sustainability across the entire production chain. Of particular interest is the question of how synthetic fibers should be designed, how they wear out less and thus generate less microplastics. The industry also showed interest in plastic waste from the sea in order to recycle it. Might be a chance to give the collected beached plastic from our project No-Trash Triangle another life.
